Senior IT Systems Engineer – Onsite in Whiteley, West Sussex – Up to £40K
  
A FinTech software company that provides payment processing software and has won many awards over the years are looking for a Senior IT Systems Engineer to work onsite in their Whiteley, Hampshire office. Due to the growth and success of its payment processing software, the company are expanding their technical team and this will be an exciting opportunity to become a Senior IT Systems Engineer.

Experience:
  
  • Proficient in managing IT systems including Microsoft Windows Server, Ubuntu, Entra, Intune, MS SQL, SQL AlwaysOn, IIS, and Azure.
  • Skilled in virtualized environments such as VMWare, Xen, and Azure, with a good understanding of networking principles.
  • Experienced in data security and integrity measures like Cyber Essentials Plus, as well as managing network monitoring tools such as N-Central, Zabbix, and Grafana.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard frameworks like ITIL and adept at managing backup solutions such as Veeam and ActiveBackup for Business.
  
Duties & Responsibilities:
  
  • Collaborates closely with existing infrastructure teams, taking a hands-on approach to support both the team and broader business operations.
  • Implements industry best practices to create a proactive and customer-focused IT delivery and support capability.
  • Evaluates and recommends emerging technologies aligned with business objectives, including conducting ROI analysis.
  • Works with infrastructure managers to ensure adherence to technology service levels and data security standards such as PCI, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, and GDPR.
  • Plays a pivotal role in maintaining data quality, integrity, and security, while also exploring scalable and flexible IT solutions.
