2nd / 3rd Line IT Systems Engineer  – Onsite in Eastbourne, East Sussex
  
Our client is a major European retail organisation and is looking for a 2nd/3rd LIne IT Systems Engineer to work out of their Eastbourne Head office.
  
Please note, that all candidates must be able to work full-time from the Eastbourne offices in East Sussex.
  

Key Responsibilities:
  
  • Oversight of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems, leveraging Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Management of Windows servers within VMWare environments.
  • Support for Microsoft IIS, SCCM, and Exchange servers.
  • Documentation creation.
  • Support, training, and task delegation for Junior I.T. Systems Engineers.
  • Wired and wireless network management using routers and firewalls.
  • Facilitation of the roll-out of new bespoke applications.
  • Testing and evaluation of new technologies.
  
Essential Knowledge:
  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft operating systems, including Windows 10 and server 2019.
  • Expertise in Ethernet Networking, encompassing Layer 2/3 Switches, VLANs, NICs, Wireless Networking (802.11b/g/n), and Infrastructure Cabling.
  • Minimum of 3 years of I.T. Support experience, with a background in helpdesk support.
  • Competence in server and PC hardware, including installation, BIOS setup, configuring hard disks, memory, and fault diagnosis.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SCCM, IIS, and Exchange.
  • Familiarity with VMWare Virtualisation technologies.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
