Software Tester
  
This is an full in-office working role in Horsham, West Sussex.
  
Stratospherec are proud to be recruiting for a fast growing UK Fintech SaaS company who produce a market leading Finance SaaS platform used by Finance companies across the UK and Europe.
  
  
We are looking for a Software Tester to work with our client's award-winning SaaS system. You will be responsible for the quality assurance and testing of our system, including various integrations from 3rd party providers. As a Software Tester you will be collaborating with the Software Developers, helping to ensure efficiency throughout the process. Performing end-to-end test cases and providing feedback to the software development team as required. This is mainly a Manual Testing role, with the opportunity to work with Automation over the next 12 months.

This role is being offered on a full-time based in the company’s Horsham, West Sussex offices which are located close to the town centre with nearby parking and shops.
  
Role responsibilities include:
  • Contributing towards test planning.
  • Collaborate with project teams to understand the scope of projects.
  • Work closely with software developers and project support teams.
  • Conduct various types of testing, including but not limited to functional, scalability, regression, discovery, stress and performance testing.
  • Testing of development work to ensure the acceptance criteria has been met and that it functions in line with the development specification.
  • Write and execute test plans.
  • Test software in different environments, including web and mobile platforms.
  • Document and communicate findings to technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Write bug reports and assess code quality.
  • Identifying issues and raising tickets
  • All other testing activities.
  • Provide objective feedback to software development project teams.
  • Troubleshoot issues and design tests to mitigate risks.
  • Ensure adherence and working towards departmental and project deadlines.
  
Ideally you will have the following experience:
  
  • Good software integration and system testing experience.
  • Experience working with the .Net stack and specifically MVC would be an advantage but not essential
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps and Kanban boards would be an advantage but not essential
  • Some experience with Automated Testing would be an advantage, but not essential
  • Accreditation in Software Certified Testing (ISTQB or ISEB) would be an advantage
  
As a software tester, working to deadlines, team collaboration, attention to detail, analytical skills, and effective communication are essential for success in this role.
