Junior PHP Developer

Stratospherec are looking for a Junior PHP Developer with experience of building web applications using frameworks like Symfony, Zend or Laravel. This developer will be part of a talented team of web developers building enterprise scale data driven web applications using OOP, MySQL on AWS cloud. This role is working for a corporate data systems company in Brighton and is working on a new product providing real time Big Data services for their global blue-chip clients.
  
  
This role is open to Junior developers who have a background in PHP, SQL and PHP framework and who are happy to go into their hi-tech, lovely offices in Brighton 3 or 4 days per week. This role is paying up to £40k salary with an excellent benefits scheme. The ideal candidate will be passionate about OOPHP, Domain driven Design, CI/CD and good software engineering practices.
  
  
  
Role & Responsibilities:

• Strong in Object oriented PHP development
• Must have experience in PHP frameworks – ideally Symfony but Laravel, Zend, Cake or great as well
• Experience with design patterns and data abstraction
• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers
• SQL experience
• Hands on experience in performance optimization & debugging
• Building APIs
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS.
• CI/CD and TDD knowledge would be useful
• Some knowledge in Database management and SQL optimization would be useful.
• Any knowledge of React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS would be useful in this role
